Rich Watts and I produced ten t-shirts from August 2007 to March 2009 with initial funding from the Rhoda Lubalin Fellowship. Each shirt was printed with diagrams that relayed information from a recent news story. Topics ranged from the monks’ uprising in Myanmar to Madonna turning fifty in 2008. Sources are documented on the website and on printed materials that went out with each of the shirts to our subscribers.

We designed the first five shirts, then invited friends and fellow designers to design for the second half the project. See the shirts at TheShirtProject.org.
