My boss Khoi Vinh asked me to illustrate one of the articles on his new project, A Brief Message. A Brief Message is regularly updated with articles written about design and current design-related issues, each under 200 words in length. The article I illustrated was penned by Clay Shirky, who addressed the power-struggle that often occurs between designers and consumers.
The final illustration visualizes arrogance and humility as piles of stuff that can be sprinkled on design work in variable amounts.
I cringe when I see that loose inner-wheel on the Model-T.
